Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Gentle, Webster-certified chiropractic care designed to support your body and baby through every stage of pregnancy.
There is no better way to support a growing, developing baby than by ensuring that mom’s body is balanced and thriving throughout pregnancy. At Embrace Family Chiropractic, our doctors, Dr. Shaina Hickman and Dr. Torie Striebel, are both Webster Certified chiropractors with extensive training and experience caring for expecting mothers.
Prenatal chiropractic care is safe, gentle, and specifically designed for pregnancy, helping your body adapt to each stage of change. By focusing on pelvic balance, nervous system function, and proper alignment, chiropractic care helps eliminate tension in the muscles and ligaments surrounding the uterus and pelvis. This creates an environment that supports optimal fetal positioning and a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery.
Benefits of Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Many expecting moms under chiropractic care experience:
Reduced pregnancy-related back, hip, and pelvic pain
Improved sleep and overall comfort
Optimal baby positioning for birth
Better hormone balance and nervous system regulation
Shorter average labor times and fewer birth interventions
Improved pelvic alignment and easier postpartum recovery
Our doctors also help guide prenatal and postpartum moms through safe, effective movement and exercise recommendations, tailored for each phase of motherhood to promote strength, stability, and healing.
The Webster Technique
The Webster Technique is a specialized chiropractic analysis and adjustment that focuses on balancing the pelvis and sacrum. A misalignment, known as a sacral subluxation, can contribute to a more difficult labor by affecting uterine function, pelvic contraction, and fetal positioning. By correcting this misalignment, the Webster Technique helps restore balance and proper function to the pelvis — allowing both mom and baby to experience greater ease throughout pregnancy and delivery.
